Compare·Ackee
You run it, and only you can log in.
Ackee is MIT-licensed analytics that runs on your own server, with a GraphQL API behind everything in its interface. It allows one user per install and forgets visitors on purpose, so there are no funnels or retention to read.
What Ackee is

Where Ackee wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
The data stays on your server
Ackee runs on your own machine or cloud account, and the code is MIT licensed. We are hosted only and closed source.
It forgets visitors on purpose
Ackee hashes each visitor with a salt that changes daily and is never stored. When a visitor returns, it strips the personal data from their older records, so no browsing history can be rebuilt. We keep a history by default, because our reports need one.
A GraphQL API under everything
Everything in Ackee’s interface comes from its documented GraphQL API. If you want to build your own views on top of your stats, that is a clean place to start.
No event allowance
Ackee costs nothing beyond your own server, however much traffic you send it. Our Free plan covers 100k events a month.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
Room for a team
Ackee allows one login per install, and its FAQ says more accounts are not planned. Every one of our plans has unlimited team members, and each person gets a role.
No server to look after
You have no Node.js server or MongoDB database to patch and back up, because we run it for you. Every plan includes the API and MCP access, which lets AI apps such as Claude read your numbers.
Funnels and journeys
Ackee shows how many people visited and where they came from. We add funnels with the drop-off at every step, and journeys you can walk backwards from any page.
Revenue with attribution
Ackee can add up a number you send with an action, such as a checkout amount. We take payments straight from your payment provider. Last-touch gives each sale to the last visit before it. Linear splits it across all the visits in a window you set.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Ackee can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Ackee running.
01
Keep your Ackee instance up
It holds your history, so leave it running while our snippet collects. Compare two full weeks before you change anything.
02
Turn actions into events
Each Ackee action has a key and a value. Send the same moments as custom events here, then name the ones that matter as goals.
03
Invite your team
Add each person who needs the numbers and give them a role. A view-only member can read and chart without changing anything.
FAQ
Switching from Ackee.
What people ask before they switch.
Can I self-host Spreelytics like Ackee?
No. We are hosted only. If running analytics on your own server is the reason you chose Ackee, it is still the right tool.
Ackee sets no cookie. What does Spreelytics store?
By default we set one first-party cookie, so a returning visitor keeps one identity and a history. You can switch a project to cookieless, and then nothing is stored in the browser.
Ackee goes further on purpose. It keeps no browsing history at all. If that matters more to you than retention, Ackee is the better fit.
How many sites can I track?
As many as you like. Projects and team members are unlimited on every plan. Ackee has no domain limit either, but each install has one login.
