- Saved and named
- Live matched count on every load
Features·Product analytics
Define a group once, like "paying users from paid social" or "trialled but never came back". The count re-runs every time you look, so it never goes stale.
What it does
A saved query over your people, re-evaluated live. Nobody has to remember to refresh it.
Built from rules on behaviour and properties.
Open a segment for the Overview of just those people.
A saved group becomes a filter in the reports you already use.
How it works
01
The people who did this, or look like that. Save it with a name you will recognise in a month.
02
The count is recomputed on every load, so it always reflects who qualifies today.
03
Open the segment for its own numbers and the people in it.

FAQ
What people ask before they switch it on.
No. A segment saves the rules, and the count re-runs when you load it. People join and leave as their behaviour changes.
Yes. A saved segment becomes a filter on the analytics pages, on funnels and in any report you build.
In the default mode, yes. Anonymous visitors have a stable identity and a full history, so they can be grouped like anyone else. You just do not know their name.
On a project switched to cookieless tracking, an anonymous visitor gets a new id each day. A rule that needs more than one day of their history can then only match people you have identified.
