Features·Web analytics

The numbers you check every morning.

One overview shows your traffic, where it came from and what it was worth.

What it does

Traffic and money on the same page.

The headline metrics, then every way of slicing them, reading from one event stream.

The metrics that matter

Six headline numbers, each with a trend and a change from the last period. Returning visitors and a live count sit beside them.

  • Visitors, with sessions on the same chart
  • Bounce rate and session time
  • Revenue, conversion rate and revenue per visitor

Where they came from

Acquisition broken down the way a marketer asks about it.

  • Channels, sources and referrer URLs
  • All five UTM fields
  • Revenue for each campaign

Who they were

Every visitor property you would normally have to build a custom report for.

  • Country, region and city
  • Browser, operating system and device
  • Any breakdown filterable, any filter shareable by URL

How it works

Use it in three steps.

  1. 01

    Paste the snippet

One script tag in your page head. Pageviews and sessions start arriving on the next request.

  2. 02

    Open the overview

The board is already filled in. You don’t have to name any events first.

  3. 03

    Filter and share

Every filter lives in the URL, so a slice you found is a link you can paste to a colleague.

FAQ

Questions about this one.

What people ask before they switch it on.

Do I have to define events before I see anything?

No. Pageviews, sessions, referrers and campaigns are collected from the snippet alone. Custom events are one call when you want them, and outbound link clicks are one option in the snippet.

Is the data sampled?

No. Every query reads every row for the range you picked. There is no sampling threshold to cross and no "estimated" badge on a number.

How far back does it go?

Free keeps 13 months, so you can still compare a month with the same month a year before. Growth keeps five years. Each month we delete analytics older than that.

Can I compare two periods?

Yes. Every headline metric shows the change against the previous period of the same length, and the date picker takes any custom range.
