Compare·Mixpanel
Deep on the product, lighter on acquisition.
Mixpanel is one of the deepest event-analytics tools there is, and its free plan now carries replay, flags and an AI agent. It is lighter on everything before sign-up: traffic sources, crawlers, and revenue traced back to the channel that earned it.
What Mixpanel is
Event-based product analytics (funnels, retention and flows) that has grown into session replay, feature flags, experiments and an AI agent.

Where Mixpanel wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
Replay on Free, and on mobile
It has web and mobile replay, with a free monthly allowance. Our replay comes with the Growth plan and covers websites only.
Feature flags and experiments
Flags and A/B tests sit beside the analytics, on every plan including Free. We do neither.
More events for free
Their free plan takes far more events a month than ours. If volume is the number that decides it, they win it.
Depth for large and mobile teams
Native mobile SDKs, nine attribution models including time-decay and custom, and a choice of US, EU or India data regions. Our attribution is last-touch or linear, and our tracking is built for the web.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
Web analytics built as pages
Channels, sources, all five UTM fields, entry and exit pages, SEO from Search Console and a live globe are pages of their own, filled in from one script tag. Mixpanel’s web analytics is a board template built on its autocapture.
Attribution on the free plan
Payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy arrive on their own and are traced to the channel that earned them, last-touch or linear, on every plan. Their attribution models start on paid plans.
AI crawlers, counted
AI crawlers almost never run JavaScript, so a page script cannot see them. We count them server-side, split into assistants, search and training. Mixpanel filters some bots out and reports on none.
No caps inside the free plan
Unlimited dashboards, reports and saved segments on Free. Their free plan limits saved reports per seat and cannot save cohorts at all.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Mixpanel can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

FAQ
Switching from Mixpanel.
What people ask before they switch.
Mixpanel’s free plan takes more events. Why switch?
If volume is the number that decides it, theirs may be the better deal. Ours takes fewer events but caps nothing inside them: unlimited saved reports, dashboards and segments, with revenue attribution, the API and MCP included. Theirs limits saved reports per seat, cannot save cohorts and keeps attribution for paid plans.
Does Spreelytics have session replay or feature flags?
Session replay, yes, on the Growth plan, for websites: a recorded visit plays back with its page views, events and clicks listed beside it. Feature flags, no. If running experiments is part of your week, Mixpanel covers it and we do not. Plenty of teams run a flag tool beside their analytics on purpose.
Mixpanel has an AI agent and MCP. What is different?
Less than you might expect. Both of us have an official MCP server that can read and build, on every plan. Their in-app agent is on the free plan too, and our assistant comes with Growth. We differ on coverage. Our numbers cover traffic, search, crawlers and revenue by channel, on every plan.
