What it does

Rules that watch for you.

A rule names what to watch for. Events are checked against it as they arrive, and funnels when the visit ends.

Four kinds of rule

Watch for events, a funnel finished in one visit, payments from your provider, or one of your saved goals.

  • Any of up to ten events
  • Sales, renewals, free trials and refunds
  • Funnel steps in order, in one visit

Only the matches you want

Narrow a rule by the page viewed, where the visitor is and what they browse on, or by the event’s own properties.

  • Up to five filters on each event
  • Payments filtered by amount, product or currency
  • A snooze for rules on busy events

Told wherever you are

Each notification lands in the app with the visit that caused it, pops up on the page you have open, and can go out by email.

  • A live card on any page of the app
  • The bell counts the ones not read yet
  • Email to the team, up to 50 a day per rule

How it works

Use it in three steps.

  1. 01

    Create a rule

Name it, then pick events, a funnel, payments or a goal, with filters if you need them.

  2. 02

    Preview it

Preview sends one notification now, filled in with example values, so you see what the rule will say.

  3. 03

    Open the visit

Open a notification to see the visit behind it: where it came from and what it did.

FAQ

Questions about this one.

What people ask before they switch it on.

What can a rule watch for?

Any event your site sends, page views included. A funnel: steps done in order in one visit. Sales, renewals, free trials and refunds from your payment provider. Or one of your saved goals.

Will a busy event flood me?

Give the rule a snooze of a minute, 15 minutes, an hour or a day. While it is snoozed, matches are skipped, not saved up for later. In the app, a burst shows a few cards and folds the rest into one that counts them, and each rule sends at most 50 emails a day.

Who gets the emails?

Turn on Email in a rule and it goes to everyone on the team who uses Spreelytics, unless they have turned notification emails off in their email preferences. Each rule sends at most 50 emails a day.

Is it on the free plan?

Yes. Notifications are in every plan, Free included. Free leaves out only session replay and the AI assistant.
