Features·For SaaS teams

Find the channels that bring customers who stay.

Spreelytics joins your traffic, your signups and your billing. See MRR and ARR, which channels the revenue came from, where signups drop out and who keeps coming back.

What it does

Revenue, signups and retention on one stream.

Your billing provider sends the payments, your site sends the visits and events, and every report reads them together.

MRR and ARR from your billing

Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy and the Revenue page works out MRR from your subscription charges, with ARR beside it. Gross and net revenue, refunds, and first payments against renewals sit on the same page.

  • MRR and ARR with no spreadsheet
  • First payments, renewals and refunds
  • Revenue per customer and per product

Revenue by the channel that earned it

Pass the visitor id at checkout and each payment is credited to the visits that led to it, by last-touch or linear attribution. Channel, source and campaign reports then show revenue, not just visitors.

  • Last-touch or linear, 1 to 90 days
  • Revenue per channel, source and campaign
  • Revenue per visitor and per goal

Funnels and retention for signups

Send signup and activation as events and build a funnel of up to eight steps, from landing page to first payment. Cohort retention shows who comes back by day, week or month, for any segment you save.

  • Funnels from pages and events
  • Retention by day, week or month
  • Segments by behaviour, revenue and properties

How it works

Use it in three steps.

  1. 01

    Add the snippet

One script tag. Pageviews, sessions, sources and campaigns arrive with nothing to name first.

  2. 02

    Connect your billing

Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy in Settings, then pass the visitor id in your checkout metadata.

  3. 03

    Send your key events

Track signup and activation with one call each, and identify people when they log in, so their earlier visits join them.

FAQ

Questions about this one.

What people ask before they switch it on.

How is MRR worked out?

From the subscription charges your billing provider sends. Each charge is spread over the months it pays for: a monthly plan counts in full, a quarterly one a third each month, an annual one a twelfth.

Refunded charges count for nothing, one-off payments stay out of MRR, and ARR is MRR times twelve.

Does it show churn?

Not as a number of its own. You see MRR and ARR move over time, renewals beside first payments, and refunds, but churn, upgrades and downgrades are not broken out. Retention shows who keeps using your product.

Which billing tools does it work with?

Stripe, Paddle, Polar and Lemon Squeezy connect in Settings, and the webhook is set up for you. Anything else can be sent from your server with the revenue API.

What about payments from before I installed it?

You can import past payments from your provider, so your revenue history goes back further than your tracking, and imported payments do not count toward your allowance. A payment with no visitor id still counts toward your totals, but the channel reports file it under Direct.

Do I still need a subscription analytics tool?

If you need churn and the movements inside MRR, a dedicated subscription analytics tool goes further. Spreelytics puts MRR beside where your customers came from and what they did before they paid.

Is it free for a small SaaS?

Yes, up to 100,000 events a month, with MRR, attribution, funnels and retention included. Each payment counts as one event, and refunds do not. Growth starts at $29 a month for 250,000 events.
