Compare·Seline
Simple and private, but it has no free plan.
Seline is simple and cookieless by default, and it follows each visitor from the first click to the payment. It has no free plan, and its journeys show one visitor at a time rather than the paths of everyone.
What Seline is
A small, cookieless web analytics tool from Poland that follows each visitor’s journey and ties revenue to sources.
- Licence
- Proprietary (open-source script)
- Hosting
- Their cloud, in Germany (EU)
- Best at
- Staying simple enough to read every day, while still showing one visitor’s path from first click to payment.
Where Seline wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
Cookieless unless you opt in
Seline sets no cookie by default and offers one as an option. We work the other way round, with one first-party cookie by default and cookieless as a per-project switch. If you want cookieless with nothing to remember, their default suits you better.
Shopify checkouts
Seline has a Shopify guide with a checkout pixel, so store purchases count as revenue. We take payments only from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, or from your own server.
A very small script
Their script is about 2 KB. Ours does more and weighs more. If every kilobyte in your page head counts, that matters.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
A free plan
Seline has no free plan, only a 7-day trial before its one paid plan. Our Free plan gives you 100k events a month, forever, with every feature except session replay and the in-app assistant.
Patterns across all visitors
Seline’s journeys show one visitor at a time, and its profiles offer churn filters. We also draw the top paths of all visitors as one flow, and you can walk back from any page. Our retention report shows week by week who came back, for any segment you pick.
Attribution you choose
Seline ties a sale to the visitor’s original referrer and campaign. We let you choose last-touch or linear credit, over a lookback window you set. Paddle and Lemon Squeezy connect directly here, where Seline needs custom events for them.
Crawlers as well as AI referrals
Seline counts the people that AI apps send you. The crawlers that read your pages rarely run a page script, so they do not show up there. We count those crawlers on your server and sort them by what they do.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Seline can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Seline running.
01
Keep Seline running
Run both scripts for two weeks, and compare a full week against a full week.
02
Add the snippet
Paste our script tag beside theirs. The overview is ready the moment data arrives.
03
Send the same user id
Where you call setUser() for Seline, identify the person here too. Their history then joins up on one timeline.
04
Connect your payments
Connect your payment provider in Settings, and pass our visitor id at checkout.
FAQ
Switching from Seline.
What people ask before they switch.
Seline is cookieless by default. Is Spreelytics?
No, it is the other way round. We set one first-party cookie by default, which lasts a year, so a returning visitor keeps one history. You can switch any project to cookieless, and then we store nothing in the browser.
Seline starts cookieless and lets you add a cookie. Without it, Seline counts a returning visitor as new each day.
Seline has an AI chat. Do you?
Yes, on the Growth plan. Our assistant turns a plain-English question into a saved report you can edit. Seline’s chat comes with its one paid plan.
Both of us have an MCP server too, the standard way AI apps connect to your data. Theirs reads your data. Ours can also create reports and dashboards when your role allows.
Can I still follow one visitor, like in Seline?
Yes. Each person gets one timeline, anonymous or identified, with every session and event in order. Identifying someone joins their earlier history to it, except on cookieless projects.
