Compare·Clicky
Live and cookie-free, but it has no funnels.
Clicky logs every visitor and click as it happens, and it has been cookie-free by default since 2022. It has no funnels or retention, and its free plan keeps only 30 days of history.
What Clicky is
A real-time web analytics service that logs each visitor and what they did, cookie-free by default, with heatmaps and uptime checks on higher plans.

Where Clicky wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
Heatmaps
On Pro Plus and higher, Clicky draws click heatmaps for each page. You can filter them by segment. We have no heatmaps.
Uptime monitoring
On Pro Plus and higher, Clicky checks from several locations that your site is up. It tells you when the site goes down. We do not monitor uptime, so that would be a second tool.
Cookie-free by default
Clicky has set no tracking cookies by default since 2022, and it anonymises IP addresses. We default to one first-party cookie. Cookieless is a per-project switch that someone has to turn on.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
Funnels and retention
Clicky shows popular paths and where people drop off, on paid plans. We add funnels of up to eight steps and weekly retention for any segment. Both are on every plan, Free included.
Revenue from the payment, not the page
Clicky records revenue with a goal and ties conversions to a visitor’s first visit. We take payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, not from the page. You choose last-touch or linear attribution, over a window you set.
History on the free plan
Clicky’s free plan covers one website and keeps 30 days of history. Ours takes 100k events a month across unlimited projects, and keeps 13 months of history.
AI crawlers, counted
Clicky filters bots out. Its optional bot log sees only the bots that run JavaScript, and AI crawlers almost never do. We count them on your server and sort each one by what it does with your pages.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Clicky can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Clicky running.
01
Run both for a few weeks
Keep Clicky’s code on your pages while ours collects. Its live logs keep working, so you lose nothing while you compare.
02
Add the snippet
One script tag in your page head. Pageviews and sessions arrive with nothing to name first.
03
Rebuild your goals
A Clicky goal is a page or a JavaScript call, and so is a goal here. Ours also count the matches from before you created them.
04
Move revenue to your payment provider
Stop sending amounts with your goals. Connect your payment provider and pass the visitor id at checkout, so each sale finds its channel.
FAQ
Switching from Clicky.
What people ask before they switch.
Is Spreelytics cookie-free like Clicky?
By default it is not. We set one first-party cookie so a returning visitor is recognised. That is what makes retention and person timelines work.
You can switch a project to cookieless mode, and then nothing is stored in the browser. An anonymous visitor then counts as new each day. Clicky works the other way round. It is cookie-free by default, and you can turn cookies on.
Is there a live view like Clicky’s Spy?
Yes. Realtime shows how many people are on your site now, and plots each one on a globe. It lists the pages they are on and the sources sending them, and it refreshes every 30 seconds.
To follow one person, open their timeline in Profiles & sessions.
Do you have heatmaps or uptime monitoring?
No, neither. If you rely on either one, keep Clicky or another tool for that job.
