Compare·Databuddy
A free plan you won't outgrow on launch day.
Databuddy packs a lot behind one script: analytics, replay, errors, uptime and flags. Its free plan stops at 10k events a month, and it caps funnels and goals by plan. Spreelytics gives you 1M events free, as many funnels and goals as you need, and retention, cohorts and revenue by channel on top.
Switch if
- A launch or a busy week could use up 10k events.
- You need more than one funnel or two goals without upgrading.
- You want to see who comes back, with retention and cohorts.
- You sell through Polar or Lemon Squeezy, or want linear credit.
What Databuddy is

- Licence

- Best at
- Putting analytics, replay, errors, uptime and flags behind one script and one bill.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
A free plan that survives a launch
1M events a month across unlimited projects. The Databuddy free plan pauses tracking after 10k, so one launch day can blank the month.
No caps on funnels or goals
Build as many as you need, on every plan. Databuddy allows 1 funnel and 2 goals on Free, and Pro stops at 50 funnels.
Retention and cohorts
See who comes back week after week, and group people into cohorts. The Databuddy comparison pages say it has neither.
Attribution you choose
Payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, credited last-touch or linear. Databuddy ties Stripe and Paddle payments to the user, with no model to pick.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Databuddy can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

When to stay with Databuddy.
If one of these is a must-have for you, Databuddy is the better pick.
Replay on every plan
Session replay comes with every plan, Free included. Ours needs the Growth plan and our cookie.
Errors, uptime and Web Vitals
JavaScript errors, real-user Web Vitals, uptime checks and public status pages sit beside the analytics. We do none of these.
Feature flags and short links
Flags roll out by percentage, user or company from the same SDK, and short links report clicks by source. We have neither.
AI chat on every plan
Their AI analyst works on every plan. Our in-app assistant needs Growth, though MCP is on every plan.
Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Databuddy running.
01
Run both for a week
Add our snippet next to theirs. Pageviews, sources and campaigns arrive with nothing to set up.
02
Rebuild your funnels and goals
Recreate the ones you had, then add the ones the plan limit stopped you from making.
03
Connect payments
Link Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, and pick last-touch or linear credit.
FAQ
Switching from Databuddy.
What people ask before they switch.
Is Spreelytics cookieless like Databuddy?
Yes, by default. New projects store nothing in the browser, and the cookie is a per-project switch. Databuddy sets no cookie but uses local storage.
Does Spreelytics track errors or uptime?
No. Databuddy puts errors, Web Vitals and uptime beside your analytics, and we do not.
Do AI agent queries use up my events?
Not with us. Your agent can query over MCP as often as it likes. Databuddy counts every MCP tool call as an event.
