Compare·etracker
Consent-free and German, but light on people.
etracker measures visits without consent by default, and an independent audit backs that up. It follows a returning person only after consent, and it has no retention report or free plan.
What etracker is
A German web analytics tool that measures without consent by default, now part of JustRelate.

Where etracker wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
Consent-free by default, and audited
etracker measures without cookies out of the box. An independent audit confirmed it needs no consent under the GDPR and German law, and it holds the ePrivacyseal. We will not claim that for either of our modes.
Data kept in Hamburg
etracker runs its own servers in a Hamburg data centre, and its developers and admins work there too. If your data has to stay in Germany, that settles it in their favour.
Scroll maps and form analysis
On Pro and Enterprise, etracker shows how far people scroll and where they give up on a form. We have neither, and no heatmaps of any kind.
Conversions sent to ad platforms
etracker can send your conversions to Google Ads and Meta Ads from its server. It also sells a tag manager and a consent manager. We offer none of these.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
It can follow a person
In our default mode, a returning visitor keeps one history. That is what makes retention and person timelines work. Without consent, etracker cannot recognise a returning visitor, and its visitor log shows the last 50 visits.
Retention for any segment
etracker has no retention or cohort report. We have weekly retention for any segment, and each segment keeps a live count.
Revenue, attributed on every plan
We take payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy and trace each sale by last-touch or linear. You set the lookback window, from 1 to 90 days, on every plan including Free. etracker’s model comparison starts on Pro, and its docs describe a 30-day window.
Crawlers and AI agents
etracker’s docs describe filtering bot traffic, not reporting on it, and its site lists no MCP server. We count AI crawlers on your server, and your agent can query and build through our hosted MCP endpoint.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because etracker can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving etracker running.
01
Keep etracker running
It holds your history. Leave its code in place while new data collects here.
02
Choose a cookie mode first
We default to one first-party cookie. If you want to stay cookieless, switch the project before you add the snippet. The snippet is the same either way.
03
Rebuild your conversion processes
Each etracker conversion process becomes a funnel here, with up to eight steps. A step can be a page or an event.
04
Connect your payments
Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy and pass the visitor id at checkout. Each sale then finds the channel that earned it.
FAQ
Switching from etracker.
What people ask before they switch.
etracker needs no consent. Do you?
We will not claim you can skip consent, in either of our modes. By default we set one first-party cookie so a returning visitor is recognised. That cookie is what makes retention and person timelines work.
Cookieless mode stores nothing in the browser. An anonymous visitor then counts as new each day, much as in etracker’s consent-free mode. etracker has an audit behind its claim, and that is a fair reason to choose it.
Do you have scroll maps or form analysis?
No, neither. We have no heatmaps of any kind. If you rely on etracker’s scroll map or form analysis, keep it for that job.
Is there a free plan, or only a trial?
There is a free plan, and it is not a trial. It takes 100k events a month, forever. etracker offers a 30-day trial of its Enterprise edition, and then a paid edition.
