Compare·Fullstory
Built to find friction, not to trace sales.
Fullstory captures every interaction without code and shows where people struggle before they give up. It is not built to credit a sale to the channel that earned it, and it cannot record a visit without its cookie.

Where Fullstory wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
Replay of mobile apps too
Fullstory replays sessions on the web, and on mobile apps as an add-on. Our replay comes with the Growth plan and covers websites only.
Everything captured, with no code
Fullcapture records every click without any tagging. You can ask a new question of sessions you have already captured. We collect pageviews on our own, and other events only from the day you start sending them.
Longer funnels, on every plan
A Fullstory funnel takes up to 20 steps, and funnels are on its free plan too. Ours stop at eight.
AI that reads the sessions
StoryAI sums up behaviour across sessions and ranks friction by what it costs. Our assistant answers questions about your numbers, and it comes with Growth.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
Revenue, credited to the channel
Payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy are credited to the channel that earned them, by last-touch or linear. That works on every plan. Fullstory’s revenue view, on Advanced and Enterprise, estimates what friction costs you instead.
Retention and journeys on Free
Retention and journeys are part of our Free plan, and so are dashboards. Fullstory keeps retention and journeys for Advanced and Enterprise, and its free plan has no dashboards.
A cookieless mode
Fullstory cannot capture a session without its cookie, by its own docs. We set one first-party cookie by default. A project switched to cookieless stores nothing in the browser at all, though it then records no replays.
AI crawlers, counted
AI crawlers almost never run JavaScript, so a page script cannot see them. Fullstory blocks common bots from capture by default. We count crawlers on your server and sort each one by what it does with your pages.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Fullstory can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Fullstory running.
01
Keep Fullstory running for now
Leave its snippet where it is while you compare the two. If you replay mobile apps, keep it for those: our replay covers websites only.
02
Add our snippet beside it
Paste one script tag beside Fullstory’s. Pageviews and sessions arrive with nothing to name first.
03
Send the events your funnels need
We do not capture every click the way Fullstory does. Track the few events your goals and funnels depend on, one call each.
04
Use the same user id
Call identify with the id you already give Fullstory. The same person then carries the same id in both tools.
FAQ
Switching from Fullstory.
What people ask before they switch.
Does Spreelytics have session replay?
Yes, on the Growth plan, for websites. A recorded visit plays back with its page views, events, clicks and rage clicks listed beside it, and everything typed into a form is masked. We do not record mobile apps, so keep Fullstory if you replay those.
Fullstory captures everything. Do you?
No. The snippet collects pageviews and sessions on its own, with their sources and campaigns. Any other event is one call to send. Outbound link clicks are one option in the snippet.
So a click you never tracked has no history here. Fullstory can still answer that question, because it records clicks as they happen.
Can Spreelytics run without cookies?
Yes. Cookieless mode is a switch on each project, and it stores nothing in the browser. The cost is that an anonymous visitor counts as new every day, retention then counts identified people only, and no replays are recorded.
Fullstory’s docs say a session cannot be captured without its first-party cookie.
Why would a team run both?
Fullstory answers why a session went wrong. We answer where visitors came from and which channel earned the sale. Teams that ask both questions often keep both tools.
