Compare·Kissmetrics
Its free plan matches ours, but holds fewer reports.
Kissmetrics has tracked people rather than sessions since 2008, and its free plan sets up its own tracking and answers questions in chat. Its revenue and people reports start on the paid plans, though.
What Kissmetrics is
Person-level analytics that follows people across visits and ties what they do to revenue.

Where Kissmetrics wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
AI chat on the free plan
Its free plan answers questions in plain English and builds metrics for you. Our in-app assistant comes with Growth. Our Free plan still includes the MCP server, so your own AI agent can ask instead.
Tracking that sets itself up
One snippet records clicks and form submits with no tracking plan. It then reads your site and builds a first funnel and dashboard. Our snippet collects pageviews and sessions, and other events need one line of code.
Campaigns from the same tool
A group of people can trigger an email from your own domain, and the results come back as data. With us, you act on a segment in another tool.
A/B test reports
Its A/B test report shows the lift beside the confidence, and says when a result is too early to call. We have no A/B testing.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
More reports on the free plan
Our free plan includes journeys and person timelines. Revenue by channel is in it too. On Kissmetrics, those reports start on the Growth plan.
The numbers marketers expect
Bounce rate and session time sit on our overview, and entry and exit pages have their own lists. Kissmetrics’ help centre says it leaves bounce rate and session length out on purpose.
AI crawlers, counted
Kissmetrics’ own guide says crawlers never show up in its reports, because they do not run the script. We count them on your server, sorted by what they do with your pages.
An MCP server for your agent
Kissmetrics offers an API and a command-line tool. We also run an MCP server at one address. Claude or Cursor can query your data and build reports with one account key.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Kissmetrics can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Kissmetrics running.
01
Keep Kissmetrics running
It holds your people and their history. Leave it collecting while data builds up here.
02
Add the snippet
One script tag. Pageviews and sessions start arriving on the next request.
03
Identify people with the same ID
Use the email or user ID you already send to Kissmetrics. Each person’s anonymous history then joins their timeline.
04
Move revenue to your provider
Connect your payment provider instead of sending revenue events from the page. Each sale is then credited to its channel.
FAQ
Switching from Kissmetrics.
What people ask before they switch.
Both free plans cover 100k events. What is the difference?
The difference is what sits inside them. Ours includes every report, with revenue by channel. It leaves out only session replay and the in-app AI assistant, and it has no seat limit.
Theirs includes AI chat and the core reports, for three seats. Its people and revenue reports start on Growth.
Can I keep sending revenue events from the page?
You can send them, but they will not count as revenue. A revenue value sent from the browser is kept on the event and adds nothing to any revenue figure.
Payments come from your provider, or from one call on your own server. Each payment is counted once.
Does Spreelytics have A/B tests or session replay?
A/B tests, no. Session replay, yes, on our Growth plan, with anything typed into a form masked. Kissmetrics reports on A/B tests, and it does not record sessions.
