Compare·Mouseflow
Built for the page, light on the journey.
Mouseflow records sessions and gives each one a friction score, so you can see where a page fails people. Its journey report is on the Enterprise plan only, and it has no retention report.
What Mouseflow is

- Finding where visitors struggle on a page, with a friction score on every recorded session.
Where Mouseflow wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
Click and scroll heatmaps
Mouseflow replays recorded visits and draws heatmaps of where people click and how far they scroll. Our replay comes with the Growth plan, but we draw no heatmaps of any kind.
Friction found for you
Each recording gets a friction score, a number for how much trouble the visitor had, built from signs like rage clicks. You can filter by it to find the worst visits first. Our replays mark rage clicks inside each recording, but give no score to sort the worst visits by.
Forms and feedback
Form analytics shows the field where people give up, and surveys ask visitors what went wrong. Both are on paid plans. We have neither.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
Journeys and MCP on every plan
Our journeys report and our MCP server are part of every plan, Free included. Mouseflow keeps journey analysis for Enterprise, and its MCP server needs Premium or above.
Revenue from your payment provider
Payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy arrive on their own and are credited by last-touch or linear attribution, on every plan. Mouseflow shows revenue in funnels on Enterprise, from events your page sends.
Retention you can read
Read weekly retention for any segment and see who comes back after the first visit. Mouseflow uses segments to filter recordings and heatmaps, and it has no retention report.
Crawlers a page script misses
AI crawlers almost never run JavaScript, so a recording script cannot see them. We count them on your server and keep them apart from your visitors.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Mouseflow can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Mouseflow running.
01
Keep Mouseflow for heatmaps
Heatmaps and friction scores stay with Mouseflow. Leave its script in place and add ours beside it.
02
Add the snippet
One script tag. Pageviews and campaigns start arriving with nothing to name first.
03
Rebuild your funnels
Each Mouseflow funnel step becomes a page or an event here. Our funnels take up to eight steps and follow the person across visits.
04
Connect your payments
Connect your payment provider instead of sending revenue events from the page. Each sale is then credited to the visits that led to it.
FAQ
Switching from Mouseflow.
What people ask before they switch.
Does Spreelytics have session replay or heatmaps?
Session replay, yes, on the Growth plan. A recorded visit plays back with its page views, clicks and rage clicks listed beside it, and you can skip the idle stretches or play it at up to 16× speed. Heatmaps, no.
If your team finds problems through heatmaps or friction scores, keep Mouseflow for that. Many teams run a heatmap tool beside their analytics on purpose.
Mouseflow has a cookieless option too. Is it the same as yours?
Not quite. Mouseflow’s cookieless option keeps its data in the browser’s local and session storage instead of a cookie. Our cookieless mode stores nothing in the browser at all, and records no replays.
Both of us set a first-party cookie by default, and our replays need the visitor’s consent first in the EU and UK. Beyond that, whether either setup needs a consent banner depends on your jurisdiction, so ask whoever handles privacy at your company.
Will my numbers match Mouseflow’s?
Not exactly. Mouseflow counts the visits it records. That depends on the recording rate you set, and recording stops when the month’s sessions run out. We never sample, and every query reads every row for the range you picked.
Each tool also has its own rules for sessions and bots, so expect some gap either way.
