Amplitude pricing in 2026: free plan, Plus and 10M events

Amplitude gives 2M events free, then prices its Plus plan by volume. Here are the figures from its own calculator, checked on 1 October 2026.

Amplitude has the largest free event allowance of the big product analytics tools. Past it, the Plus plan is priced by volume, and the two plans above that are quoted by sales. This post sets out what each plan includes and what Plus costs at several sizes.

Figures come from Amplitude's pricing page and its price calculator, read on 1 October 2026. Check them before you budget.

We make Spreelytics, a different analytics tool, and our own prices are at the end for comparison. Amplitude does more than we do in several areas, so this post is about cost, not a ranking.

The plans

Starter (free). 2 million events a month, unlimited seats and a year of data. You can keep ten saved charts, and session replay covers 10,000 sessions. Behavioural cohorts are not included.

Plus. The first 2 million events are still free, then you pay by volume. Plus adds two years of data, behavioural cohorts (up to 20), heatmaps and alerts. You can also buy it by monthly tracked users instead of events, up to 700,000 users or 70 million events.

Growth and Enterprise. Priced by sales. Growth adds single sign-on, project permissions and unlimited access to your history. Enterprise adds role-based access and custom data retention.

What Plus costs

These are the figures Amplitude's calculator showed.

Events a monthBilled monthlyBilled yearlyYearly, per month
2M$0$0$0
3M$94$900$75
5M$281$2,700$225
10M$720$6,912$576
20M$1,575$15,120$1,260
70M$5,865$56,304$4,692

The yearly price is 20% below twelve monthly payments at every size in the table.

What happens when you go over

On Plus, extra events are charged at your plan's rate per event. The pricing page says there is no overage penalty, and the docs say the overage is billed. Both are true: you pay for the extra volume, at the same rate, with no markup.

On the free plan, the rule is stricter. Amplitude's billing FAQ says an account that goes over its limit three times is blocked from viewing data. Events keep arriving, but you cannot see them until you upgrade.

Where the price jumps

Ten saved charts on the free plan go quickly once a team starts using it, and cohorts are a common reason to upgrade before event volume forces it.

The step from Plus to Growth is the bigger one. Single sign-on and project permissions are often a requirement at a company of any size, and Growth has no public price.

How it compares

Here is Spreelytics at the same sizes. We sell fixed volumes, so a month of 3 million events sits on our 5M size.

Events a monthAmplitude Plus, monthlySpreelytics, monthly
2M$0$159
3M$94$239
5M$281$239
10M$720$339
20M$1,575$519

Amplitude is cheaper up to around 3 million events, mostly because of its free 2 million. Above that, the gap widens quickly in our favour. For paying yearly, Amplitude takes 20% off, and we give twelve months for the price of ten, which is about 17%.

The products differ, and the price is only half the decision. Amplitude has heatmaps, experiments, in-app guides and surveys, and we have none of them. It also puts session replay on its free plan, where ours comes with Growth. Its attribution is also deeper, with ten models including a data-driven one. We count AI crawlers, and our Free plan has every feature except session replay and the in-app AI assistant.
