Compare·Piano Analytics
Made for big publishers, with no free plan.
Piano Analytics handles very large media sites without sampling, and it has a mode built for the EU consent exemption. It has no free plan, and its docs show no per-person timeline or AI crawler report.
What Piano Analytics is
A behavioural analytics platform, formerly AT Internet, now part of Piano’s suite for media and subscription businesses.

- Best at
- Unsampled analytics at very large scale, with privacy modes built for EU consent rules.
Where Piano Analytics wins.
If one of these is a must-have for you, go with them.
A mode for the consent exemption
Piano Analytics has an exempt mode, built for the cases where EU rules allow audience counting without consent. Their support team switches it on with you. We will not claim either of our modes lets you skip consent.
Built for media companies
Piano adds modules for ad revenue and for subscriptions, and its Composer tool runs A/B tests on your pages. We have nothing made for publishers, and we run no tests.
Seven attribution models
Piano’s attribution has seven models. One of them, Shapley value, weighs each source by how often conversions happen without it. You choose the lookback window. Ours is last-touch or linear.
Proven at very large scale
Piano says it handles more than four trillion events a year, with no sampling. For a very large site, that track record matters.
Where Spreelytics wins.
Every line here is a page in the product today.
Start without a demo
Our Free plan takes 100k events a month, forever. Piano Analytics starts with a demo request, and it has no free plan.
One timeline per person
Piano keeps running totals for each identified user, such as visits and order value. Its docs describe totals, not a timeline. We show each person’s whole history in order, anonymous or identified.
Revenue from your payment provider
Payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy arrive on their own, on every plan. We trace each one to the channel that earned it. In Piano, sales come from the tags on your site.
Crawlers, and an MCP that builds
Piano’s docs describe filtering bots, not reporting on them. We count AI crawlers on your server and sort each one by what it does with your pages. Piano’s MCP server documents one tool, and it reads data. Ours can also build reports and dashboards, within what your role allows.
Side by side.
We leave prices out because Piano Analytics can change theirs at any time. Ours are on the pricing page.

Moving over.
Every one of these starts by leaving Piano Analytics running.
01
Keep Piano running
It holds your history and your boards. Leave its tag in place while new data collects here.
02
Add the snippet
One script tag in your page head. Traffic and campaigns arrive with nothing to name first.
03
Send the events your funnels use
Track the few events your funnels depend on, one call each. Page views need nothing extra.
04
Connect your payments
If you take payments through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, connect it and pass the visitor id at checkout.
FAQ
Switching from Piano Analytics.
What people ask before they switch.
Does Spreelytics have an exempt mode like Piano?
No. We will not claim either of our modes lets you skip consent. By default we set one first-party cookie, so a returning visitor is recognised.
Cookieless mode stores nothing in the browser. An anonymous visitor then counts as new each day. If your legal team relies on Piano’s exempt mode, that is a fair reason to stay.
Piano has an AI chat and MCP. What is different?
Both of us have an assistant in the app and an official MCP server. Piano’s MCP server documents one tool, and it reads data. Ours can also create reports and dashboards, within what your role allows.
Our assistant comes with Growth. MCP access is on every plan, Free included.
Can we try Spreelytics without a demo?
Yes. The Free plan takes 100k events a month, forever. Add the snippet, and the overview fills in as soon as data arrives.
