Marketing attribution software answers one question: which of the things you did brought in the money. The tools that answer it are not all alike. Some read deals from your CRM, some read spend from your ad accounts, some trace phone calls, and some follow a visitor from a blog post to a Stripe payment.
So the best tool depends mostly on how you sell. This list covers eleven of them, grouped by that. We make Spreelytics, so read our entry with that in mind. For every tool, we say what it does better than we do.
Facts were checked against each vendor's docs and pricing pages in October 2026. We describe how each one prices rather than quoting figures, because several only give a price after a demo and the rest change often. Check their sites before you decide.
The short answer
If you sell online and take payments through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, start with a tool that reads your payments directly, such as Spreelytics or DataFast. If you sell B2B through a CRM pipeline, look at HockeyStack, Dreamdata or Cometly. If a large ad budget is the main question, look at Triple Whale, Northbeam, Wicked Reports or Hyros. If your leads phone you, look at Ruler.

1. Spreelytics
Web analytics and product analytics on one stream of events, with revenue attached. Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy in Settings and the webhook is set up for you. Each payment is then credited to the visits that led to it, by last-touch or linear attribution, over a lookback window you set between 1 and 90 days.
If you sell subscriptions, a Revenue page also shows MRR and ARR, net revenue after refunds, and first payments against renewals (see SaaS analytics). Because the same events feed funnels, retention, journeys and person timelines, you can follow a channel past the sale: do the customers it brings stay? We also count the AI crawlers that a page script never sees, and our MCP server lets Claude or Cursor read the numbers and build reports.
Where others win: we never see your ad spend, so we show no return on ad spend. We read nothing from a CRM, have no account view, track no phone calls and send nothing back to ad platforms. Two models and a 90-day window is fewer choices than most tools here.
Pricing: free up to 100,000 events a month, with attribution and MCP included. Growth starts at $29 a month for 250,000 events. Spreelytics vs other attribution tools has a page for each one below.
2. DataFast
The closest tool to ours. DataFast is revenue-first analytics for founders: it ties payments to the channels that earned them, and it counts AI crawlers on your server. Beyond the four payment providers we both connect, it takes Shopify and WooCommerce orders with no script to paste. It also breaks subscription numbers such as MRR and churn down by channel, and its Meta Ads connection puts ad spend beside revenue.
It is lighter on product analytics. Retention is new against returning visitors, journeys are one visitor at a time, and its docs do not name an attribution model or offer a choice of one.
Pricing: a 14-day trial, then paid plans. Spreelytics vs DataFast
3. Usermaven
An attribution platform for SaaS and ecommerce teams, with web and product analytics built in. It has eight models, including U-shaped and time decay, and lookback windows of up to 365 days. It pulls ad spend from Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads, and can count HubSpot or Salesforce deals as pipeline. Agencies can add white-label reports, data is processed mainly in the EU, and the Enterprise plan can run on your own servers.
It has no session replay and no A/B testing module, and connecting Stripe means adding the webhook in Stripe and copying its secret back by hand.
Pricing: sales-led. Two plans, both priced after a demo, and no free plan. Spreelytics vs Usermaven
4. HockeyStack
Built for B2B teams that sell through a pipeline. HockeyStack reads deals from Salesforce or HubSpot and spend from your ad accounts, groups visitors under the company they work for, and joins a personal email to a work email when they belong to the same person. Its models include position-based, time decay, custom weights and a predictive one, and its lift reports estimate what a channel really adds.
Its own setup guide asks for a CRM, so it suits teams that close deals rather than take card payments. It has funnels and journeys, but no retention report.
Pricing: a demo or a trial, then a paid plan. Spreelytics vs HockeyStack
5. Dreamdata
B2B attribution organised around accounts. Dreamdata ties touchpoints to CRM pipeline and revenue, grouped by company, and matches anonymous visits to the companies behind them, even on its free plan. It offers six models, including W-shaped and data-driven. It also syncs audiences of engaged accounts to LinkedIn and Google, and sends conversions back to them. Data is stored in the EU.
Its funnel follows pipeline stages rather than pages or events, it has no retention report, and online orders reach it through its script or Zapier rather than a payment connection.
Pricing: a free plan with two months of user history. Its attribution models and MCP server are on the paid plan. Spreelytics vs Dreamdata
6. Cometly
Attribution for B2B software companies that links ad clicks to deals in your CRM and to revenue in Stripe. It pulls spend from your ad accounts and deal stages from HubSpot or Salesforce, so you can judge a campaign by the pipeline it creates. It has eight models, a window from one day to a customer's whole lifetime, and it sends conversions back to the ad platforms, LinkedIn among them.
Its funnel follows sales stages, and its MCP server is a read-only beta on the Enterprise plan.
Pricing: no free plan or trial. The price comes from a call about your monthly pageviews. Spreelytics vs Cometly
7. Ruler Analytics
Best when your leads phone you or fill in a form. Ruler shows each visitor their own phone number, so a call can be traced to the ad and keyword behind it, and calls can be recorded. When a lead closes in your CRM, the revenue is sent back to the marketing that started it. On its Advanced plan, marketing mix modelling estimates what each channel adds, even channels with no clicks to follow.
Its reports cover sources and leads, with no funnel or retention report, and its site lists no MCP server.
Pricing: no free plan or trial. Plans start after a demo and follow your monthly visits. Spreelytics vs Ruler Analytics
8. Triple Whale
Analytics and attribution for online stores, built around platforms such as Shopify. It reads ad spend and store orders, so it can show profit by campaign. Its seven models include one that credits verified ad views as well as clicks. On the Automate plan, its AI agent, Moby, can change budgets in your ad accounts and make ad creative.
It is made for stores rather than software sold by subscription, and its MCP server is read-only.
Pricing: a free plan with first-click and last-click attribution. Multi-touch models start on the paid Foundation plan. Spreelytics vs Triple Whale
9. Northbeam
Measurement for brands that spend heavily on ads, built on its own first-party pixel. It reads spend from a long list of ad platforms, credits verified ad views, and can run lift tests that hold ads back from a group or a region. A media mix model estimates each channel's long-run effect, and the Professional plan comes with a dedicated media strategist.
It is built around orders and ad spend, with no funnel or retention report.
Pricing: quoted after a demo, and plans follow your ad spend. Spreelytics vs Northbeam
10. Wicked Reports
Click-based attribution for ecommerce and subscription brands. Every order is tied to the ad click behind it and marked as a first or repeat purchase, so you see which ads find new customers. Its cohort reports follow what each group of customers spends for months, and each channel gets a weekly recommendation to scale or cut.
Its funnel sorts ad clicks by stage rather than following steps on your site.
Pricing: no free plan or trial, and the price follows your yearly revenue. Spreelytics vs Wicked Reports
11. Hyros
Ad tracking built to tell you which ad made each sale, including sales that close on a phone call. It follows a booked call through to the rep who closed it, sends verified sales back to the ad platforms so their bidding learns from real revenue, and can subtract product costs to show profit per ad. Its attribution can look back a full year.
It is built for paid traffic, so search traffic and what people do on your pages get less attention.
Pricing: one paid plan, priced by the revenue it tracks, quoted on a setup call. Spreelytics vs Hyros
What no attribution tool can see
Every tool here works from clicks, visits, calls or ad views. None can see the podcast someone heard or the colleague who recommended you, so those sales land on whichever channel came last or on direct. Models only change how the credit is shared among the touches the tool could see.
Two things help. Lift tests, which Northbeam offers and Triple Whale has on Enterprise, hold ads back from some people or places to measure what they really add. Marketing mix models, at Northbeam and Ruler, estimate each channel's effect from spend and sales over time. And on any tool, switching between two models shows which channels only look good under one of them. We wrote about that in last-touch vs linear attribution.
How to choose
- You bill through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy: Spreelytics or DataFast read the payments directly, with nothing to export. See how to see which channel earned each Stripe payment.
- You sell B2B through a CRM: HockeyStack, Dreamdata or Cometly.
- You run a store with a large ad budget: Triple Whale, Northbeam or Wicked Reports.
- Your leads phone you: Ruler Analytics, or Hyros if your sales close on booked calls.
If you want to see which of your channels pay before you spend anything, our revenue attribution is on the free plan.
